We have been using Lightbot with students from grade two through to grade seven.  The school has the program on both the computers and on the iPads.  What is great about the program is that it takes you step by step through the basics of programming then gradually introduces new terminology and concepts such as procedures, looping and conditionals.

With grade 2/3 I started with basic coding on paper then introduced Lightbot.
